Stuart Jason, one of Benidorm's resident comedians died peacefully in his sleep in February 2007.

Stuart had entertained the crowds in Benidorm for nearly 15 years, most recently at Morgan's Tavern and Valentine's.

There is a memorial to Stuart behind the main bar in Valentine's.

All too soon another comic has had to say goodbye

The Dundee Lad with the quirky laugh and a twinkle in his eye

Stuart Jason his name, and laughter his game, it's sad to see him go

We will never forget this cocky Scots lad or his excellent comedy show

The cabaret acts in this City of Fun all knew this man so very well

And we believe that our Stuart will still make them laugh if he's in heaven …. or even in hell

Nobody knows where the Spirit it goes when it reaches the Happy Hereafter

But one thing for sure if it's up to our Stuart, it'll be a place that is ringing with laughter

Our lives will go on, we'll carry on working, but there's one thing that is a sure bet

The Benidorm acts and all the people he knew, this good man we'll never forget

The show must go on is a saying we have, but to me that does not seem quite right

How can it go on when the Star has now gone and is now just a star in the night?

So farewell Stuart Jason, we'll carry on and keep the Benidorm tourists quite happy

But we will never forget you, of this please be sure our friend called

.... The Cheeky Wee Chappie.
