Rikki is a comedian currently appearing exclusively at The UK Cabaret Bar in Benidorm, Spain. Starting as a member of the very successful showband Scotch Mist in the late 70s, Rikki soon realised that he had a talent for comedy. In the 80s Rikki left the band to pursue a solo career and was an instant success performing his comic routine at the top venues throughout the UK and Ireland. He developed a following wherever he went. In 1989, Butlins signed up Rikki to work at their centre in Ayr and then at their other sites around the country. Rikki took the opportunity to introduce an innovation into his act. Fred the Monkey was born as a prop for his now infamous impression of Michael Jackson. This little monkey was soon to develop into a full blown ventriloquist part of Rikki's performance and took Butlins by storm. A lot of people in the business sat up and took notice of the new comic act including Scotbase Entertainments, Scotland's top entertainment agency. This led to work in the theatre and on both cruise ships and television. His theatrical tribute to Hector Nicol, one of Scotland's best ever comedians, brought rave reviews and his continued success was to keep him busy for the next ten years.
Attracted by the opportunity to be involved in the development of Benidorm's cabaret industry, Rikki returned to the UK to sell up and then moved to Benidorm for good. This was to prove to be one of the best moves for both himself and Benidorm as it was not long before he had established himself as the number one comedy act in town.
