Rikki Stevens and Carlo Paul Santanna, backstage at Wheeltappers, February 2007.I first met Carlo in 2002 when I was working in The Town along with George Roper and Eric Delaney and we seemed to hit it off with him, right from the word 'Go'.

One of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with and so very talented, this ex-member of Paper Lace showed everybody why he had number one hits all over the world with Billy Don't Be a Hero and The Night Chicago Died.

Carlo has a voice with a frightening range and a guitar-playing ability that still puts him up there with the best, and yet, a more pleasant mild-mannered man you will never meet.

It was not long before Carlo became a regular face on the Benidorm circuit and storms it every time he appears.

There are not many acts in Benidorm who get a standing ovation, but this man gets one every night he performs, and long may it continue.

I have added this page to my web site as a tribute to a very talented man and dear friend and wish him every success in the future.
